Just dropping in to fix some broken links. I WOULD be drawing right now, but my husband decided I need to redesign his website first. selfish bastard, ain't he?

NEW LAYOUT, OLD FRIEND
I love concrete- it was my all-time favorite canvas growing up. Whether it was abstract melted crayon on hot sidewalk, or chalk murals in the middle of the playground, that vast gray plane meant endless possibilities as a kid.

I don't remember why or when, but I eventually abandoned gritty sidewalks for the smooth, crisp and portable appeal of paper. After I left concrete behind I began my spiraling descent into paper dependency. Stacks of construction paper, reams of lined paper, pads of watercolor paper and countless sketchpads: I've relentlessly burned through a rainforest of paper since my childhood. I'm sure Captain Planet probably has a price out on my head with all of the trees I've murdered, but I feel no shame- I'm a junkie.

There are times I feel this overwhelming urge to cast the paper and pen aside and return to my roots. On those hot summer days -when you can see the heat rising off the sidewalks, driveways and parking lots- I can't help but stare at that blank canvas and wish I had some crayons to melt.
